Answers to your questions,

  • When should we arrive in Santa Barbara?

We’ll be kicking off the wedding weekend Friday evening with low-key welcome cocktails for those who have made it to town. Saturday will also have some festivities planned for those who are in town. It’s really up to you when you arrive! We’ll update the website as more activities fall into place.

  • Can we bring our kids?

We love your kiddos, we really do, but the wedding festivities will be for adults only. If you plan to bring your family to Santa Barbara and need help finding a babysitter, our planner recommends The Little Guest. Additionally, there are plenty of family friendly activities in the area like the beach and the Santa Barbara Zoo.

  • What should I wear to the wedding?

The dress code for the wedding is Formal Chic. What does that mean? Snappy suit and tie for the gentlemen, or a tux if you really want to. Beautiful dresses or jumpsuits for the ladies. Dresses can be long or short so long as you feel snazzy and fun! Please note that the ceremony will take place on an outdoor bluff at the ocean. The ground is uneven and grassy with dirt paths. The reception will be inside a massive greenhouse (with high ceilings and ventilation all around). The floor of the greenhouse is gravel except for the dance floor. All that is to say, you may want to avoid stilettos. Lastly, Santa Barbara’s weather in late October can be variable. Most likely it will be pleasant during the day (low 70’s) and chilly at night. We’ll have heaters but you should definitely plan to bring a warm layer for after dark.

  • What should I wear to the rehearsal dinner?

The dress code for the Rehearsal Dinner is Festive Cocktail. What does this mean? Men should look sharp and wear a jacket but don’t need to wear a tie. Women can wear shorter dresses or jumpsuits and should feel somewhat dressed up. Patterns and colors are welcome. This will be an elegant but relaxed cocktail party at a beautiful outdoor venue. The floor is made of brick so any kind of footwear should be fine.
